Last December our council entered into a joint project with our brothers in Belmont. The sales and manufacture of apple and cherry pies was made possible for us with the facilities provided to us by the Knights of the Belmont Council. Over a dozen of our volunteer brother knights were able to fill orders for over 230 pies in this “Pie Factory” set up in the Gym at Assumption of Belmont.
These sales raised $900 for the 7761 Knights Charity fund!
The Knights of Columbus 7761 will be serving breakfast starting after 9am mass on February 14th. Come and enjoy a breakfast and social time with us!
Badge Project Raises Money!
Thank you to John Peerenboom for bringing yet another great fund raiser to our council.
Brother knights from our council met at Katerie Lodge to help assemble name badges. Together many hands made light work, 10,000 badges were assembled and bagged! 2000 bags of five badges each. The June Monthly meeting was followed by more badge assembly as there were so many eager brother knights on hand to help finish the project in the company of their brother knights and of course Fr. Tony and Fr. Darrell were present to help lead us; support us; and of course help assemble badges!
The earnings were 50 cents per bag for 2000 bags so our council earned $1000 on this project for our Knights Charity Fund.
Parade of Homes
Stan Dobek and Jim Hughes are leading the way as our Grand Marshalls for the Parade of Homes.
Each year our council participates in the Parade of Homes; this is an easy fundraiser for our council and our charities, programs, and projects. This year the home our council will be working is located at 8910 Hopewell. Just off of Wolven and south of 11 Mile rd. Our responsibilities in this plan are to tally attendance or Sell tickets for the Parade of Homes. Stand and Jim were proud to report that all the positions on our schedule for the parade of homes have been filled!
