Sunday Brunch Raises $700 for Vocations

Our December 6th Sunday Brunch was another fine success!

The council earned over $700 in revenues for our Vocations fund.

Thank you to Brother Erich O’Brien for chairing this event and to all those who volunteered and helped make this a success; congratulations to all of you on a job well done.

Thank you also to all those who came out to have brunch and gave to help support those going to become priests.

Help Keep our Parish Safe

It is that time of year again, when we will need as many people as we can to help keep the sidewalks clear and safe before and after Mass at Our Lady of Consolation. If you can help clear, just come early to mass and make sure to sign in by any of the doors to the church before grabbing a shovel and clearing off a walk!

Thank you all for your helping keeping everyone safe!

New Roof

New Roof

Last month our brother knights came together to help out a fellow parishioner. Her home was in desperate need of a new roof and The Knights of Columbus were there. Brother knight Dennis Milewski was the brains behind the project and in addition to the contribution of treasure, our time and talents were contributed. According to Dennis our council of knights submitted 102 man hours of labor into the project. The result is a badly needed new roof for a fellow parishioner.

Thank you to Dennis Milewski for bringing this opportunity to our council and seeing it through to fruition. It is always an honor to help and assist the members!

Veterans Ice Cream Social

Veterans Ice Cream Social

June 26th, the last Friday of the month, our council will be hosting an Ice cream social at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

At the May 2015 council meeting a vote to donate $200 to cover the expense of this event was supported and passed. Our presence doesn’t stop there. Bill Koltak is looking for volunteers to help serve the ice cream to the veterans at the home.

Come and help serve those who served for us!

Call Bill at:616-874-1179 if you would like to volunteer to serve our veterans.
